Yachting lifestyle in China

Provincial governments, property developers and boat builders are all investing heavily in yachting within China.  It is forecast that the overall market size may reach $10 billion over the next decade, which presents significant opportunities for boat builders, boat sellers, nautical accessories, marina planning, and construction materials.

Feedback from exhibitors and buyers is evident that the growing economy and increase in infrastructure / marinas has surged demand for private yachts – particularly small to mid-size yachts – and interest in water-based activities.

The 2017 show will feature a Leisure Carnival complete with outdoor pool showcasing water sports such as canoeing, wakeboarding and paddle boarding.

CIBS aims to popularize a maritime lifestyle and yachting culture amongst a rising upper and middle class in China.
